Cycle For Cause! Style of Sport and SoulCycle Team Up To Raise Funds For Memorial Sloan Kettering
“Nothing brings me more joy than a sporting event for a charitable cause,” shares KDHamptons contributing fitness editor, and Style of Sport Founder / Editor, Claudia Lebenthal [above, right], “When my buddy, Stacey Griffith [above, left], the powerhouse master SoulCycle instructor, asked me to join her team for Cycle for Survival, I jumped at the opportunity! Cycle for Survival has already raised over $80 million for rare cancer research.”
Cycle for Survival is phenomenal event, hosted by Equinox in partnership with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, that raises critical funds for rare cancer treatments. It was founded by Jennifer Goodman Linn—a Memorial Sloan Kettering patient and Equinox member—and her husband, Dave, following Jen’s own rare cancer diagnosis. They wanted to do something to fight back. Jen sparked this movement and, despite losing her own battle with cancer in 2011, she continues to inspire. To this date, Cycle for Survival has raised over $80 million for rare cancer research, and funded 100+ clinical trials and research studies.
Claudia adds, “Stacey and I are going to ride 4 consecutive 50 minute classes, and would love the support of KDHamptons readers. Whether it’s $10, $25, $50, $100 or more…as I always say, there is no such thing as a small donation. Just give something… what you’d spend on a latte, bottle of wine, or nice dinner with friends. Or give a whole lot! You’ll feel good and won’t have to ride a bike for almost 4 hours!” Much love & gratitude, Claudia
