The Elegant Setting Has A Chic New Home!

KDH mourned when her favorite Main Street Southampton boutique closed over the fall, but fret not, the monogramming maven, Stephanie Finkelstein has simply moved her Elegant Setting boutique/workshop into a super cute new location just behind Main Street. The cottage style space is feels more like a guest house on Meadow Lane, complete with a little brick path and topiaries out front.

The embroidery emporium is packed with personalized cosmetic & tote bags, cocktail napkins, cups, notepads, blankets, stationary, and more! Stephanie tells KDH, “nothing costs more than $500 in the store; you don’t have to spend a lot to buy something that is both personal and luxurious.” Case in point? KDH loves to give monogrammed baby burp cloths as shower gifts.

Customers can also bring in items they want to add their first name, family name, house name- whatever to! Stephanie predicts, that monogrammed tote bags and towels will continue to be best selling gifts Summer 2011 because, “they are perfect hostess gifts because it shows that you took the extra time to make something personal and unique.”

All embroidery is performed on the upper floor in-store, and can even be done same day depending on how busy the workshop is. Just pop in, choose your item, pick out the color of string and font for your monogram, and in a few hours you could hit the beach with a new namesake towel!

Staying with friends for the weekend? Here are KDH gift ideas for saying thanks with style:

*Funny fact: The Elegant Setting will remove letters from a monogram for newly divorced customers who can’t seem to part with their favorite tote as easily as their spouse!
