The eponymous fine jewelry brand, Temple St. Clair, was founded by designer Temple St. Clair Carr [below] in 1986 while living in Florence, Italy. Shortly after, Barneys New York discovered Temple St. Clair Carr’s work, and invited her to showcase her first collection exclusively in New York City….

 

 

The rest is fashion history, her collections expanded to luxury retailers and soon became collectibles for an in-the-know connoisseur clientele across the country. Today, Temple St. Clair Fine Jewelry is based in New York City and is sold at over 100 luxury retailers throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.

Born in Virginia, Temple studied classical art, literature, and the Italian Renaissance at Smith College in Florence, Italy. Spending over a decade in Europe, Temple still draws her inspiration from the Mediterranean basin.
