Hollywood Hamptonites Lend A Hand To Give Hope To Haiti: A Party With Heart At The Ross School
On July 17th caring cosmopolites and celebs of the Hamptons including Maria Bello, Leiv Shcrieber, Patricia Arquette, Donna Karen, Fisher Stevens and many more came out to contribute to help the citizens of Haiti in times of need. The fundraiser was held at The Ross School in East Hampton and included musical performances as well as a viewing of an educational documentary about WeAdvance.org that stated the organization’s plan to treat 60,000 Haitians by the end of 2011. The event also hosted a silent auction featuring exclusive items from various pop culture sets and celebs. All proceeds from the event went towards WeAdvance.org and GlobalDirt.org’s ongoing efforts within the Haitian community such as establishing the first-ever ambulance service in Cité Soleil. “I hope WeAdvance.org will one day change the lives of everyone, not just Haitians,” said co-founder Barbara Guillaume after thanking guests for supporting the cause.
