Well the countdown is finally over and Memorial Day Weekend is finally here! From farmers markets, to A-list benefits, to dance-parties, there are so many fun things to do! How do you choose? KDHamptons has the inside scoop of where to be and what to do this weekend:
Friday, May 24th, 2013
1. East Hampton Farmer’s Market, 9am- 1pm; 136 North Main Street
*Be the first crowd to witness the ribbon cutting ceremony for the first Farmer’s Market of the season in East Hampton! In it’s 8th season, the market will feature 26 vendors, including cheese, meat, fish, fruit, wine, bread, pies, pickles, empanadas, coffee, flowers, and even llama wool!
2. East Hampton Garden Club Annual Benefit Garden Party, 6pm- 8pm; Mulford Farm, 10 James Lane, East Hampton
*Known as the unofficial kick-off to the summer, this Garden Party features a preview of the annual plant sale, which continues on Saturday from 9am- 12pm. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served and there will be a private auction as well! Admission is a $50 donation per person and benefits go to the Garden Club, which helps to maintain many beautiful public gardens and flowers in town. Gceasthampton.org
3. “Sounds of Summer” with DJ Blind Prophet, 6-9pm; Parrish Art Museum, 279 Montauk Highway Water Mill
*With summer around the corner, head to the Parrish terrace to hear some summer sounds with food and drinks. DJ Blind Prophet will spin an array of tunes from House to Dub Step to Hip-Hop with a melodic twist. Tickets are $10 and free for members, children, and students.

1. Car Show Benefiting Wounded Warrior Project and Building Home for Heroes, 9am- 4pm; Martha Clara Vineyards, 6025 Sound Ave, Riverhead
*If you are an automobile fanatic, this is the place for you! This local Car Show features all kinds of collectible vehicles, while giving back to the community. Admission is a $5 donation.
2. Day & Night, 11am-4pm: Gurney’s Inn, 290 Montauk Hwy
*Why wait to party at night when you can party at brunch? Gurney’s Inn will be hosting the Day & Night brunch party, which is one of the most sought after brunch parties in the US for Memorial Day Weekend. They feature a Dual Group skydiver who hand delivers a Magnum of Dom Perignon Rose Luminous to the party from 13,500 feet in the air! This brunch party features world-renowned DJs, delicious food, and some crazy antics to ensure a great time.
3. Float Aerial Yoga, 1pm- 2:30pm; 156 Main St, Amagansett

4. 3rd Annual ARF Designer Showhouse & Sale, 5pm-8pm; 17 Montauk Highway, Sagaponack
*If you like to drink and shop, come to ARF Thrift & Treasure Shop for a cocktail party and exhibition! Seven top designers are transforming items at the shop into vignettes inspired by donation and personal collection. All items will be for sale and tickets are $150. Arfhamptons.org
5. Party at the Pink Elephant, 11pm- 4pm; 44 Three Mile Harbor Road, East Hampton

1. East End Arts’ 17th Annual Community Mosaic Street Painting, 12pm- 5pm; East Main Street, between Roanoke Ave and East St, Riverhead

2. Mario Cantone Comedy at WHBPAC, 8pm; West Hampton Beach Performing Arts Center, 76 Main St
*Get ready to giggle with Mario Cantone, from Sex and the City. His stand up comedy is full of impersonations of pop-culture and over the top rants. Tickets are $65-$85. WHBPAC.org
