KDH Save the Date: The East Hampton Antiques Show & Preview Cocktail Party on Friday, July 19 - 21st!
The East Hampton Antiques Show & Preview Cocktail promises to once again be the highlight of the East End social shopping calendar!
The Preview Cocktail Party will be held on Friday, July 19th (6pm – 8:30pm) and the Antiques Show is on Saturday & Sunday, July 20th & 21st at the historic grounds of Mulford Farm. Now in its seventh year, the East Hampton Antiques Show is widely recognized as the premier antiques event on eastern Long Island.
Interior Designer Steven Gambrel is the Honorary Chair of the Friday, July 19th Preview Cocktail Party, which offers patrons an early buying opportunity of the extraordinary array of antiques, art, jewelry and collectibles. Ticket proceeds benefit the East Hampton Historical Society. He shares,“Every year I look forward to the East Hampton Antiques Show where I’m a part of a community of eager collectors and dealers.” Recognized for his custom interiors and architectural details, Gambrel designs “timeless, comfortable homes that improve with age”, and built his own retreat in Sag Harbor.
Both the Preview Cocktail Party and Antiques Show take place on the pastoral grounds of Mulford Farm, located on James Lane in the heart of the village of East Hampton. This historic 3.5-acre property features a restored 17th century farm house as well as several barns and outbuildings that are among the oldest on eastern Long Island. Both collectors and dealers alike anticipate the offering of wares from a diverse assembly of more than 55 antique dealers, housed in elegant white tents arranged across the great lawns of the bucolic Mulford grounds.
The focus of the show is antiques and decorative items for the home and garden. Vintage rattan and bamboo furniture, lighting, textiles, architectural elements, American formal and country painted furniture, Art Deco and Moderne furniture, garden ornaments, wrought iron accessories, industrial items, paintings, trade signs, period jewelry, weather vanes, and mirrors will be offered.
The 2013 East Hampton Antiques Show is made possible in part by the generous support of BNY Mellon Wealth Management, House Beautiful and Channing Daughters Winery. The show is managed by Ferguson & D’Arruda of Providence, Rhode Island. Catering is provided by Brent Newsom and live music at the Preview Cocktail Party will be performed by Jane Hastay and Peter Martin Weiss.
Admission to the Antiques Show is $10, with early buying at $20. Show hours are Saturday, July 20th from 10am – 6pm, with an early buying hour at 9am. On Sunday the show is open from 10am – 5pm. The show offers an on-site café for a light breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
