Heading to the Hampton Maid for a home cooked breakfast has been an East End tradition since 1959. This charming B&B in Hampton Bays serves a country style breakfast daily from 7 am, cooked by Chef Steve Poulakis. The maid offers fall specials, fresh berries in creme, seasonal melons, corned beef hash, steak-n-eggs, and fresh baked muffins. They don’t take reservations so there can be a 30 minute wait in the middle of summer, but there are plenty of open tables now, which makes it my favorite destination for a hearty fall breakfast until they close in November.  Sit on the terrace, read the paper, and chow down on a breakfast alone, or with friends.  The omelette sampler never disappoints, and the Eggs Benedict will melt in your mouth.  Let your mouth water over all the delicious dishes below.  Everything tasted as good as it looks, and the staff is as welcoming and charming as going to grandma’s house.
