KDHamptons: Please tell us about your company, Blow Beauty Bars?

Lila: Blow specializes in blowouts but our master stylists are skilled in cuts, colors and keratins. We also offer hair extensions— it’s best to have a consult with us so we can pick the best hair for your hair type! We have locations in Bridgehampton and East Hampton and will soon be expanding further west with a FULL SERVICE Beauty Bar! Stay tuned.

KDHamptons: How would you describe your perfect Hamptons day to our readers?

Lila: My perfect morning starts sitting outside very early at Pierre’s, in Bridgehampton. It’s not crazy crowded yet and I just enjoy peace and quiet, and an order of “3 Minute Eggs” with a cappuccino before I walk down to Blow. If I am not at work, I am on my boat with Michael. I love being on the water, it’s such an escape from the craziness of traffic and Starbucks waiting lines! A glass of rose, some Cape Cod potato chips and a good soundtrack is my perfect afternoon! Dinner on Shelter Island or Bell & Anchor is a perfect ending to it all! (upstairs from where we keep our boat).

KDHamptons: What will be the trend this summer for Hamptons’ hair? Are girls going for a long bob? Platinum?

Lila: WHOA! The “Platinum Bob” caught on like wild fire and we are 100% in love with it! We have gotten so many requests for this hairstyle and now some of the Blow Beauties are rocking it! I think funky braids are really going to be in! It’s perfect for the Hamptons, you don’t know when you’ll be at the beach, pool, or out on a boat and it’s the perfect way to keep your hair out of your face and free from tangles!

KDHamptons: Which celebrity style do your clients request most?

Lila: The “JEN”. This doesn’t surprise me. Who doesn’t want to look like her!? She’s such a classic beauty and her hair always looks great!

Lila: Yes, actually TWO BIG THINGS:

BLOW Beauty Bars has created it’s own hair care line!! All winter we worked with products and scents, mixing and matching until we found what would work best for every hair type.
