On Saturday, August 1, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) raised more than $1.6 million, a record-breaking achievement at its fourth annual Hamptons Paddle & Party for Pink. The two-part summer event was co-hosted by Maria & Larry Baum, Lisa & Richard Perryand Jackie & Bippy Siegal, which involved a WPA-sanctioned morning paddle race in Sag Harbor and a sunset party at Fairview on Mecox Bay in Bridgehampton.

“Paddle boarding is a personal reprieve for me. As a breast cancer survivor, the sport gave me and continues to give me a much-needed outlet. Sharing it with others while raising funds for life-saving research is my personal way of paying it forward,” said Ms. Baum, who currently serves as a co-host and BCRF Board Member.

Surprise guest Gwyneth Paltrow, wearing By TiMo exclusive for goop, opened the evening with a moving introduction for her dear friend Maria Baum. Lena Dunham, wearing Lisa Perry, shared her passion for women’s health to the crowd of more than 600 guests.

Hailing from Hawaii, Gabby Reece and Laird Hamilton brought a taste of their hometown with them to the evening party—inviting a special performance by the Coppin Colburn Family, World Famous Hawaiian Fire Dancers. The soirée also featured an electric live performance by GRAMMY Award winning artist CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers just days before his concert, FOLD Festival, is set to take place. The night was capped off with a music set by Brendan Fallis, internationally acclaimed DJ. A major highlight was the auction of one-of-a-kind Laird Hamilton Standup paddle boards designed and signed by Donna Karan, Aerin Lauder, Tory Burch, Lisa Perry, Oprah, Bethenny Frankel and others.
