Growing up, Easter was a favorite family holiday of mine.  My sister and I would wear our prettiest new Polly Flinders dresses to church, then we’d race home for the egg hunt that my Dad had hidden while my mom whipped up her delicious Easter brunch menu.  My grandparents would come over, and my sister, brother, and I would chase each other around, flying on the sugar high of our Easter baskets. Although I would readily still participate in an egg hunt, decorating my Hamptons home and tabletop for this special holiday is my new Easter tradition. Here’s the details of my pretty palette for Sunday…

I recently discovered Q Squared NYC, a luxury melamine dinnerware and serveware collection  that looks like porcelain and ceramic, but are virtually unbreakable − perfect for entertaining with kids or outdoors.  This is the Pembroke Collection, which has lacy gold etching that frames the egg-shell blue border.  The elegant design paired with melamine material gives a fresh, contemporary look to the tablescape.

How cute are these cotton tails?  PaperLove makes this sweet cupcake decorating kit.  Instead of opting for one big floral centerpiece, I ordered three mint julep baby bouquets from Topiaire Floral Boutique. Owner Erin Meaney designed a fragrant mix of roses, tulips, hydrangea and hyacinth in white, green, and purple [below].

I also found this chic & easy Provence White flatware collection at Q Squared NYC to offset the fanciness of the plates.  The flatware is mirror polished stainless steel so it can easily be thrown in the dishwasher.

I love to include edible elements into my tabletop designs, especially ones for guests to take home. Topiaire Candy Shop on Jobs Lane in Southampton has the best selection of Easter candy on the East End: bunnies is every shape and size, peeps, mini eggs, and more. Placing a group of items under a glass cloche, or on a pretty platter always adds an eye-catching element.

Personalized paper cocktail napkins are always a nice touch for dinner parties. I order mine from Lillian Vernon, the heavy stock has the look and feel of starched linen.  Dinner napkins should always be the real thing.  The gold napkins below are from Frontgate.
