Top Tips For Flowering Quince Branches
White flowering quince branches are my favorite choice for a dramatic March arrangement. The branches are in season from mid February early March until April depending on spring temps.
Quince blossoms average 3-5 branches per bunch at a 3-4′ length aren’t always easy to come by here in the Hamptons. Luckily, local floral design darling Arthur Golabek came through with this gorgeous bunch for my living room table.
TIP: Upon arrival cut the bottom of each branch ate least 2″ on an angle with a sharp garden shear so they can take up fresh (warm) water. Repeat this process every couple of days so all blossoms develop and open.
TIP: Blooming branches look great in tall vases by themselves. I like to arrange mine in a giant blue and white antique
ginger jar.
TIP: Let the petals sprinkle down around the table, it’s charming!
