One of KDH’s favorite things to do in NYC is attend the annual San Gennaro Feast in Little Italy, so I was excited to hear about the two-day San Gennaro Feast of the Hamptons this weekend. With a kick off parade, the first festival of its kind in Hampton Bays is part of a campaign to attract more Fall visitors to the East End. The feast is located on Good Ground Road and was organized by Simone Scotto, owner of Scotto’s Italian Pork Store on Main Street. More than 50 vendors turned out to sell traditional Italian foods, desserts, and wine tastings~ on Saturday, all of the food ran out after five hours due to the unexpected giant turn out of reportedly 10k people! Family fun was had with carnival rides, crafts and live music to pull up a patch of grass and listen to. The event was clearly a great success so KDH is sure this will only be the first festival of many more to come! Ciao!
