Would you walk 70 miles over four days to raise awareness and funds for TWO Long Island non-for-profit organizations? The answer is yes for Irene Rabinowitz & her dog Sydney!  Check out this incredible Pet Celebration Event taking place in Montauk, Friday October 5th, to cheer her & Sydney as they begin their journey!

‘A Journey Four Paws’ is Irene Rabinowitz challenge to walk 70-miles with her dog Sydney from Barks-n-Bubbles Boutique in Centereach to Montauk over a four day period on Columbus Day Weekend.  Irene walks to benefit two organizations close to her heart. ‘A Journey Four Paws’ which raises money and awareness for Central Suffolk Paws, and the Long Island chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. Irene’s goal is to raise $10,000 to donate equally to the Arthritis foundation and to and Central Suffolk Paws.

The walk will start Friday, October 5, with a kick off celebration at Barks-n-Bubbles after which Irene will walk approx 22 miles into Riverhead. On Saturday, October 6th, she continues through Riverhead and head to the Hamptons. On Sunday, October 7th, Irene & Sydney will walk from Southampton to Amagansett, and on  Monday, October 8th, Irene will walk the final miles into Montauk! Irene will be accompanied the entire walk by her dog Sydney. [Her other two dogs, Baxter and Misha may participate on several stretches of the walk].  On the completion of the Journey on Monday, Irene and Sydney will walk into Montauk to the Oceanside Beach Resort for the Pet Celebration and Luncheon Event!

The Pet Celebration and Luncheon Event will feature: music; pet vendors; raffles; pet costume contests; adoptable pets; goody bags; yummy food for humans and dogs alike; dog festivities and much more!  Pet Celebrity, TV & Movie Star “Bocker the Labradoodle” will also be in attendance at the  Pet Celebration and Luncheon Event.

Guests can bring their dogs dressed in their best most creative Montauk Monster, Surfer Dog, or original costume!  Humans can dress up to if they wish as it is close to Howl-o-ween!
