Discover Ala Isham New Caftan Collection
New York- based artist Ala Isham draws inspiration from nature and her global travels. Her namesake resort-water collection launched in 2016, with a distinctive aesthetic of her colorful, original prints with a sophisticated femininity.
Ala’s designs are influenced by early memories of her mother’s kaftans, which were equally appropriate on the beaches of NewPort as on family vacations in Marrakesh. The clothes, designed originally to fit her lifestyle, drew international attention, promoting Ala to develop a full collection. The curated mix of Kaftans, shirt dresses and separates are a kind of ‘relevant luxury’. both beautiful and functional, transitioning seamlessly from beach to evening.
Ala is the daughter of Prince Alfred von Auersperg and Sunny Crawford von Bulow. A mother of four, she is also a philanthropist and advocate for victims’ rights, founder of the non-profit organization National Center for Victims of Crime, which for 30 years has been one of the leading voices on violence against women. A portion of proceeds from the collection will benefit the organization, as it provides assistance to universities on how to empower young women to be confident and feel supported, and to better serve survivors of campus sexual assault.
