Baha Beach Babes: Check Out This Cool Collaboration From Reformation And Spring & Clifton! Perfect For Summer 2012...
Have you heard about the hot new collaboration collection between Reformation and Spring & Clifton for Resort 2012? KDH is so all over this line, consisting of unique knitwear and leather mixed with eye-catching baja prints ranging from $85 to under $300. And the best part? The collection just hit stores this week!
Magical things can happen in Montauk, and while on vacation there last summer, designers Michelle Zacks [of Spring & Clifton] and Yael Aflalo [of Reformation] got inspired to collaborate on a Resort line to launch when everyone is sick of their winter wardrobes. [hi, that’s me.]
“I would say that our collective teenage years spent in Southern California played a role in the look of the collab. References include surf and skate culture, music, art, and downtown NYC meets SoCal,” says Michelle.
Michelle was drawn to a giant baja jacket at a local surf shop because of the amazing texture, pattern and colors. She knew Yael could do what she does best, and find a way to reinvent the baja into something unexpectedly chic. The result? A limited edition collection of 10 pieces ranging from baja/ leather combos and signature reworked knits and tees. The full line will be available for purchase in both Reformation stores and through the brand’s ecommerce site. Prices range from $85 to under $300.
There is a perfect marriage of the aesthetic Spring & Clifton is known for, and the sophistication of how Reformation reworks vintage items and fabrics. Each piece has a slightly punky, DIY look, but has high-end quality and sensibility.
