Hello KDH readers! We have Barking News!!!
Starting this week KDHamptons will showcase a compassionate cat and dog who are looking for a new loving home. Linda Goldsmith of the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation will share pet profiles of the little guys looking for your love. The SASF is an incredible organization on the East End whose mission is to provide for the welfare of animals and reduce the number of homeless pets. They do not turn animals away who need their help. Let’s help them find a home for the holidays for Nicole and Suri [pictured below].
My beautiful Yorkie, Ted, was such an incredible addition to my life for seventeen years and I am almost ready to welcome a new furry friend into our family. Remember: a pet will never disappoint you, always love you, gush with excitement when you walk through the door, and always be ready to give you a hug or a kiss! Who doesn’t need a little bit of that?

Nicole is a petite 5-year old kitty whose owner has passed away. She and her friend Summer were brought to SASF. Summer was adopted, but Nicole is still waiting. Kitty used to live with a puppy, too! She loves laps and with the winter coming, she is ready to keep you warm!

Suri is a 4-year old sable colored brindle mix. She is totally one of the staff favorites here, but somehow she gets over looked when prospective parents come to SASF. It will be almost 2 years since her owner had to surrender her here because of a bad landlord! She mentors the young puppies and keeps them in line. She is selective about her dogs friends, does not particularly like cats, and older kids would be great fit for her! She would love to go for a stroll, play in the snow, or enjoy lazy days alongside you by the fire.
