ABOUT DR. HOWARD SOBEL

Dr. Sobel was born and raised in New York City. He earned his B.A. from SUNY at Binghamton and then graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Sobel completed his residency in Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Sobel is presently a Clinical Attending physician in Dermatology & Dermatologic Cosmetic Surgery for 34 years at Lenox Hill Hospital, and for 28 years, he was also a Clinical Attending Dermatologist and Dermatologic Surgeon at Beth Israel Medical Center.

Dr. Howard Sobel, MD, operates Sobel Skin, a private practice for dermatology, cosmetic surgery, and aesthetic medicine in the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City. Sobel Skin was a part of the early stages of the medspa / medi-spa evolution in the United States. 

In 1991, Dr. Sobel founded HDS Cosmetics Lab. HDS produces Doctors Dermatologic Formula (DDF), one of the first doctor-created skin care lines.
