Families are invited to learn about and explore the massive machines that keep the East End moving during the Children’s Museum of the East End second annual Big Truck Day on September 17th.  Join CMEE, 27 Eats, Amber Waves Farm, Blocks Trucks + Art, Landscape Details, Mister Softee, Rapid Recovery, S&P Sanitation, the Southampton Village Police Department, and Suffolk Cement, as the kids learn how the Hamptons keeps on truckin’.

“After the success of last year’s Big Truck Day, making this an annual event was an easy decision,” said Steve Long, the Museum’s president. “Besides, I’m sure I’m not the only parent with a child who is absolutely wild about trucks.” Big Truck Day will feature a variety of vehicles from around the East End. In addition to the return of a cement truck, tow truck, dump truck, and other emergency vehicles, this year sees the addition of a pay loader, 18-wheeler cab, a pair of food trucks and more!

“This event is going to be a blast! Kids get to learn about the important role big trucks play in our community in an incredibly fun and interactive way,” added the Children’s Museum’s education coordinator, Liz Bard. “And, with so many area businesses joining us, Big Truck Day is perfectly aligned with our mission to promote learning and build strong connections on the East End by providing playful experiences”
