“I’m always looking for the best. The best slice of pizza, the best t-shirt and, of course, the best tequila,” says Rande Gerber, Founder of Casamigos Tequila & Mezcal and bar and restaurant mogul. “When I can’t find the best, I create it, which is how after over 700 ‘sample’ bottles, Casamigos was born. And because I’m always creating for myself, I never compromise or settle for anything less than perfect.” Gerber and Nolan Walsh, Co-Founder of Thursday Boots, have a shared interest in creating “the best.”  Launched last month, the Rande Gerber x Thursday Casamoto boot is available in two classic colorways, black and café racer, and retail at $235 on Thursdayboots.com.

“When my friends at Thursday Boot asked me to partner with them to design the ultimate boot, I took all my favorite boots and combined those details into the Casamoto. The final product offering is a fresh take on the classic motorcycle-style boot. The development and conceptualization processes were a hands-on experience for both parties, with over 30 samples being developed before deciding on the final style and fabrication. The boot design elements contain a super-soft, semi-distressed upper, custom-developed lug outsole with 100% Recycled RPET laces and aglet.

On the process, Walsh says, “I’ve always admired Rande’s casual, effortless style with an impeccable attention to detail. This collaboration was particularly exciting because of all the meticulous detail that went into the development process. Almost every material, from the outsoles to the upper leather and laces, was custom developed for this boot to reflect the high quality and approachable ethos of both Rande and Casamigos.”
