THE BOW WOW MEOW BALL RETURNS TO THE ARF CAMPUS AUG. 19th

After three years of the event being online due to COVID, ARF is to host the Bow Wow Meow Ball in the brand-new William P. Rayner Training Center on Saturday, August 19th. ARF is excited to finally bring the Bow Wow Meow Ball back to the Adoption Center. Over two years ago, ARF started a project to give its cats and dogs a better life. Earlier this summer they finally moved back into their Forever Homes thanks to the leadership of J. Petrocelli Contracting, led by John Petrocelli, Ray Elhilow and Chris Faha. The team, which included more than a dozen sub-contractors and specialists transformed the ARF campus to make a better place for the animals, adopters, volunteers and staff.

The evening’s celebration of ARF’s life-saving work will take place in the newly constructed 8,400 square foot, William P. Rayner Training Center on ARF’s 22-acre campus in East Hampton. Guests will enjoy cocktails, followed by dinner catered by Olivier Cheng within an elegant setting. Afterwards, the party will continue with dancing to music by the Peter Duchin Orchestra. Over 400 high-profile guests from New York and the Hamptons are expected to attend the magical night. All proceeds will benefit ARF Hamptons, a leader on Long Island for the rescue and adoption of cats and dogs.

The animals in ARF’s care come from animal control centers, high kill shelters across the country, and from people who can no longer care for their pets. ARF provides full medical care—including spaying and neutering—to all its animals in addition to humane care for their basic needs. Once medically evaluated and socialized the dogs and cats are made available for adoption at its Adoption Center in East Hampton. Since its inception, ARF has rescued more than 30,000 cats and dogs and placed them with loving families.
Joining in the festivities this year will be a proud group of ARF cats and dogs available for adoption including puppy mill rescues, Cocker Spaniels, Leo (12) and Abigail (15), featured on the event invitation. Leo is blind and almost deaf, and he can be nervous at times, but he can quickly be calmed by bringing Abigail to his side. Until a foster or adoptive home is found, they are enjoying the comforts of home in one of ARF’s new kennel suites. The Bow Wow Meow Ball event is an important evening as it raises funds that are vital to their care, and to the organization and its mission.
The evening will also include a live auction and a silent online auction featuring one-of-a kind experiences and luxury items like tickets to a dress rehearsal of SNL, trips to St. Lucia, Turks and Caicos, and a cruise on a luxury yacht.
