CHARRIOL CELEBRATES 40 YEARS WITH THE LAUNCH OF THE ST. TROPEZ SURF WATCH
Coralie Charriol, CEO and Creative Director of heritage watch and jewelry house, Charriol, learned to surf in Montauk, so the Hamptons was great inspiration for her when designing her latest watch. Charriol is a global prestige brand built on heritage. Since its beginnings in 1983, the maison has endeavored to bring forth products which are uniquely designed and inherently different. Its main source of inspiration – the cable – endures as a symbol of strength and of courage, and remains a testament of everlasting empowerment admired by many the world over.
To celebrate its 40th year anniversary, the Geneva-based maison is introducing the St-Tropez™ Surf watch, the sportiest iteration in the new generation of ‘Navigator’ watches designed by Coralie. The St-Tropez™ Surf channels the pulsing energy of a morning surf break. Constructed for an active lifestyle, the mechanics are automatic, the back open to display the mainspring that keeps time by the natural movement of its wearer. The second hand is presented as a purple colored lighting rod, a personal effect borrowed from Coralie’s adventure vehicle of choice, her beloved surfboard, which bears a lightning bolt in the middle of her board.
“When considering the next generation of St Tropez watches, I felt that luxury doesn’t need to come at the cost of adventure. In this very special collection, the legacy and spirit of the original remain, but I wanted to add an element of speed”, says Coralie Charriol. The 36m Surf Diver is offered in white, turquoise and black rubber as well as mixed metal and gold. The bands are interchangeable making it easy to transition from sporty daywear to glam evenings. Perfectly at home from Rincón to Navarre, the Surf Watch is a confident timepiece, and perfectly fit for a life of high velocity.
