On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 10th AND 11th CoreysWave is partnering with the surf therapy non-profit organization, A Walk On Water (AWOW) to hold their 2nd annual event in Montauk from 10AM–4PM at Ditch Plains. A Walk On Water works closely with community leaders to offer Surf Therapy events aimed at giving those with special needs the chance of a lifetime: to experience the calming and therapeutic effects of the living ocean and enjoy a beautiful day at the beach without labels. Their families are fully supported and cared for as they share a much-deserved day of fun, relaxation and respite.

AWOW exists largely because of amazing volunteers who return year after year as they find the entire event and experience priceless! Team CoreysWave is looking for support to volunteer at this inspiring event. The Surf Therapy event will run 9AM-4PM, and volunteers should arrive by 7AM and work until 5PM. Don’t worry, there are many perks and benefits, including gourmet breakfast, lunch, snacks, coffee and more.

Additionally The Montauk Beach House will be hosting a fundraiser for the AWOW Family and Friends on Saturday evening from 6:30-9:30PM, co-produced with Community Collaboration.
