According to textile designer and artist Serena, it all happened one serendipitous day in 2001 when she stopped into a Mill Valley baby boutique owned by Lily, a Microsoft-refugee-turned entrepreneur,  “Our backgrounds were worlds apart, but we shared a similar point of view on the nursery: there was a void in the market for the kind of fresh, style-driven crib bedding we craved. We dreamed of children’s spaces filled with dynamic color and pattern and a unique blend of simplicity & sophistication. Within an hour, we had decided to form a new company!”

Sheesh! Sometimes it all just falls into place huh? The Serena & Lily brand exploded as an instant hit with taste-makers, decorators, Hollywood moms and dwellers who crave inspired design. In no time, the duo rolled out custom upholstery, furniture, art, and unique finds from around the world to fill the rest of the rooms in our haute homes!
