A Day In The Life With Hamptons Branding Bae, Dria Murphy
After working in-house for fashion labels including Calvin Klein, Topshop, and Ralph Lauren, Dria Murphy launched her own creative brand building company in 2015, Alise Collective, while summering on the East End and consulting for The Surf Lodge. Alise Collective clients currently include The Breakers MTK, The Bari Studio, Google and the Surf Lodge, for whom Dria curated “The Surf Lodge Weekend Essentials”, a coveted complimentary hotel amenity for all weekend guests. Curious how this Hamptons beach babe breaks down her busy day in Montauk? Try to keep up below…
8 AM – I wake up in Montauk around 8AM most mornings. I check my phone for work emails and head to wash my face and get ready for the day. Right now, I’m using Tata Harper’s Regenerating Cleanser (the travel size is perfect for weekend getaways), Caudalie’s Vine Active Glow Serum, Shiseido’s Essential Energy Day Cream (the added SPF is great for sun exposure), Context’s Vitamin C All Day Eye Cream and La Praire’s Skin Caviar Essence in Foundation. My color is Golden Beige. I always take an array of supplements like Well Told Health’s Turmeric Boosters and Antioxidant Boosters.
9 AM – I go to Left Hand Coffee for an iced matcha latte with almond milk. I’m usually in a rush and don’t have time to waste.
10 AM – Every Saturday morning at 10 am, I do Bari Studio’s sculpt and toning class on the deck of The Surf Lodge. It is a great way to get your workout in out east before the weekend festivities kick in.
11 AM – I head over to Naturally Good for the Tofu Scramble and Berry Hydrating Smoothie (no agave). I love their healthy food options.
12 NOON – I love to head to Ditch Plains to watch the surfers in the water and say hey to friends. It’s such a welcoming community and I love the vibe.
1 PM – Grabbing a snack at Ditch Witch is iconic Montauk. It’s the perfect way to grab a quick bite.
2 PM – I head to Duryea’s for a late lunch and a glass of rosé. My go-to is the Lobster Cobb Salad (with a side of french fries, shhh).
5 PM – Time to head home to get ready for a sunset concert at The Surf Lodge.
6 PM – The concerts begin around 6pm at The Surf Lodge. I love watching the bands, both new and established, that Surf finds to play.
8 PM – Post show, I usually sit down with friends for a dinner and enjoy the summer weather.
