Don't Miss The Alzheimer’s Association Second Annual ‘Fork It Alzheimer’s’ Event
On Saturday, July 31, the Alzheimer’s Association will host the second annual Fork It Alzheimer’s farm-to-fork dinner event will take place in Bridgehampton, bringing over 250 guests a curated culinary experience utilizing New York-sourced ingredients from community purveyors. Hosted by event founders and chairs Daryl and Irwin Simon, the event will raise critical funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s Association care, support and research programs.
In a picturesque setting, this special event will feature a cocktail hour serving Constellation Brands liquor, Sagaponack Vodka, and VIDE Premium Canned Cocktails and a farm-to-table dinner experience while bringing awareness and support to a disease that affects more than 6 million Americans and more than 11 million caregivers. After impacting both of their families, Daryl and Irwin made it their mission to help fight Alzheimer’s and dementia. Alzheimer’s Association President and CEO Harry Johns will share updates on the latest in Alzheimer’s research and the evening’s Mission Moment speaker Michelle Florin, will speak on her late mother’s battle with younger-onset Alzheimer’s.
Stacy Bash-Polley, Nadia Inwood, Robert Mayer, and Ed Scher will serve as the host committee for the event, and Matthew Sandberg and Nicolette Simon as Next Gen chairs. Jefferies Bank is the event’s Presenting Sponsor, with additional support from Moelis & Company, Stacy, Ethan, and Owen Polley, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, and Leesa and Leon Wagner.
The 2019 inaugural Fork It Alzheimer’s event, helped fund four research grants, including two in New York, as well as supported the local efforts of the New York City and Long Island Chapters of the Alzheimer’s Association’s. These funds were particularly critical during the pandemic when the community depended on the Alzheimer’s Association more than ever before.
