The East Hampton Historical Society Presents Summer Lecture Luncheon With Designer, Alex Papachristidis

SHARE

For the past eight years, the East Hampton Historical Society has hosted lively and informative luncheons, with the intent to explore, illuminate, and celebrate the beauty and rich history that unites us as a community. This year’s Summer Lecture Luncheon will present guest speaker Alex Papachristidis, an acclaimed interior designer.  Drawing from his latest book, The Elegant Life: Rooms That Welcome and Inspire, Mr. Papachristidis will profile a variety of his most arresting projects, including a luxe, modern beach house decorated in gold, silver, and white; a Manhattan home that has a vivid lavender-and-blue palette; and a colorful “bohemian” apartment incorporating mid-century furniture. Each project presents the creative ways he makes spaces versatile to share with friends and family – from cozy seating areas to games tables.

The work of interior decorator Alex Papachristidis has been described as thoughtful, personal, sophisticated and eclectic. Having mastered the skill of fusing modern and traditional elements, editors, designers and clients’ alike use the word “fresh” to define his elegant approach, color palette, and the delightful details that make even a small room sizzle with style. Papachristidis’ interiors can be found all over the world from Manhattan, the Hamptons, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Florida, Texas and Colorado—to London and Saudi Arabia.
