For the past five years, the East Hampton Historical Society has hosted lively and informative luncheons, with the intent to explore, illuminate, and celebrate the beauty and rich history that unites us as a community. The Summer Lecture Luncheon has brought together some of the best designers and architects from around the country for a day of fun, friends and food.
This year’s annual event promises to entice and delight, as the East Hampton Historical Society has the pleasure of hosting landscape architect Perry Guillot and designer David Netto, both experts on the intersection of design and cultural heritage. The Luncheon will take place on Thursday, August 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Maidstone Club, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Perry Guillot, Founder of Perry Guillot Inc. Landscape Architecture and noted designer of gardens for Tory Burch, Reed Krakoff, Aerin Lauder and Tina Brown, will discuss some of his most remarkable projects.
David Netto, celebrated author and designer of interiors and furniture, will introduce Mr. Guillot and moderate a Question-and-Answer session following the talk.
Bonnie Brennan, President of Christie’s Americas, a Platinum Sponsor of the event, will be closing out the program with a few remarks and will invite guests to sit for lunch. “It is an honor for Christie’s to support an organization dedicated to both the preservation and re-interpretation of East Hampton’s rich history of art, architecture and horticulture”, said Ms. Brennan.
The Summer Lecture Luncheonis made possible in part by the generous support of media sponsor ELLE Décor, Christie’s and Mark Cross (Platinum Sponsors), and Naturopathica (Gold Sponsor). Proceeds from the program will benefit the ongoing restoration, collections, and exhibition projects of the East Hampton Historical Society.
