Kahlua is about 18 months old and was at the Hempstead Animal Shelter for the last year until June. She is a beautiful brown brindle color and described as a Whippet mix. I think she may have greyhound in her, too! She can be a little shy when you first meet, but I personally took her home for a night and found her to be very comfortable lazing in the livingroom with my other dogs and during a thunder and lightning storm, too! She was also housebroken. Kahlua is very smart and learns quickly.

Sukie & Fig are inseparable 8-year old cats whose owner was taken to a nursing home. Sukie follows Fig around in the Cattery and they sleep all curled up together every day! Sukie is the sleek black sweetie and Fig is the full figured guy!  They should really go home together! The shelter is running a promotion for October where all adoption fees are waived for cats and kittens. Meeeowwww!
