Welcome fall!  The Hamptons season of gathering with family and friends is here— whether it’s pumpkin picking, trick-or-treating, hosting holiday dinner parties, or just getting cozy by the fire, it’s time to curate your best nest.  Today I designed a pretty new porchscape at our old Victorian farmhouse, Maple Shade, incorporating my favorite fall design details…

I always scoop up the prettiest pumpkins at the end of my country road at Halsey Farms on Deerfield Road, in Water Mill.  Typically I only decorate with white, and pale colored pastel orange and light green pumpkins, not bright orange which feels too Halloweeny.  My mums are from Fowler’s Garden Center in Southampton.  Have fun decorating your fall decor and be sure to tag @KDHamptons on Instagram to share your porchscapes with my readers.

I think every table setting is made all the more beautiful with blue and white serve ware, whether it’s just a touch or a whole boatload of blue and white you will usually find Chinoiserie incorporated into my entertaining and home design.
