Famed Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet will officially open their latest boutique in East Hampton, New York this summer.  In addition to boutiques in New York City, Las Vegas, Bal Harbour and Beverly Hills, this retail addition to one of the world’s most exclusive beach destinations will be a singular shopping experience in the Hamptons.

The 3,000 square foot space, comprised of design elements such as white oak flooring, brushed bronze finishes and an abundance of sunlight, will evoke the spirit of East Hampton while remaining true to the ethos of the company that is synonymous with luxury timepieces.

Material Good, one of a select group of authorized Audemars Piguet retailers in the United States, was selected by the brand to oversee the day-to-day operations of the new boutique.  Material Good will provide the same level of exceptional customer service selling Audemars Piguet’s timepieces that they are known for in their own SoHo store in New York City.

Reimagining the Audemars Piguet heritage for a beachside location presented an interesting design challenge for the brand.  Keeping the relaxed environs in mind, the store has become a mirror of that sensibility.  The boutique is replete with materials either in their original state or very roughly treated. Vals stone with a broken face stands out, exuding both a masculine feel and a hint towards the nearby beach surfaces.  Unfinished oak offers a relaxed yet luxurious feel throughout the store and is indicative of the brand’s reimagined approach to luxury in this exceptional space.
