“Ever since I was a child, I have always liked rare and unique things,” says 27-year old New York floral designer, Aaron Villalobos. Armed with a passion to make his creative mark in the world outside of Mexico, he left his native Mexico City at age 18. Villalobos now calls New York City his permanent home, his laboratory, and his mobile studio.

Having worked with high end clients including Lanvin, Monkey Bar, and some of New York’s top event planners on past projects, Aaron strikes out on his own this summer in East Hampton, partnering with Melina Solnicki and Yelena Feurerman at their concept boutique, Newtown 23, providing fresh flowers, terrariums and a home flower delivery service to the East End locals.

Aaron tells KDHamptons, “My favorite flowers are peonies and gardenias. I enjoy mixing a rustic style with a touch of opulence,  à la Provence.” With a nose for the most aromatic candles in the world, such as Fueguia [stocked by Solnicki], and an eye for beautiful stones of all kinds [especially crystals, quartz and emeralds], Aaron creates one of a kind arrangements and floral design concepts that will become the center of attention at your next dinner party [see below].
