KDH popped by the Wölffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack on Sunday to check out the annual Wölffer Estate Harvest Party which is always a highly anticipated events of the fall season in the Hamptons. Families, friends, farm animals and wine connoisseurs descended upon the estate for some harvest fun in the sun. Temperatures were in the 80’s and it felt like a perfect summer day!

A bountiful harvest lunch was served~ with an emphasis on local ingredients, and paired with award-winning Wölffer Estate wines. A live blue grass band kept the little kids dancing, and grandpa tapping his boot! Other festivities included: grape picking and stomping, pumpkin & barrel rolling races, a petting zoo, arts & crafts, pony rides, and face painting.

The fall Harvest party also served up the new “Christian’s Cuvée” Merlot 2005, as well as several new vintages from the winery: Merlot 2007, Chardonnay 2007, and Cabernet Franc 2006.
