Architect Kevin O'Sullivan Hosts East Hampton Design Tour and Garden Party
On Saturday July 11th, Kevin O’Sullivan [below] & Associates (KOS) celebrated their recent projects with a daylong design tour that left from the New York Times building in Manhattan and ended with a garden party that was held at Kevin’s East Hampton estate. The itinerary began with the first property tour in Sagaponack, a beautiful oceanfront home designed and furnished by KOS. This home was a picturesque beach house with a modern twist, including a master bathroom with heated floors and a bathtub with an ocean view and a beautiful outdoor space with pool, jacuzzi, and outdoor kitchen. The living room and kitchen were built on the top floor and the bedrooms on the bottom floor.
The second property along the press tour was The Boathouse in Sag Harbor. More rustic than the first property, The Boathouse had utilitarian feel and a French linen theme with rough hues and woods. Located right on the bay, this property included a built in lounge on the dock and quadruple bunk beds in one of the corner rooms for children of visiting guests.
Kevin and his associates celebrated amongst clients, family and friends. Guests enjoyed cocktails from a bar truck and various small bites as well as gift bags which included branded KOS hats and a copy of HC&G Magazine. The day was perfect for a garden party at Kevin’s East Hampton estate as it turned out to be one of the warmest days of the summer.
The last property of the day, which was featured in HC&G; a custom one story home hidden within the trees in Amagansett. The home boasted warm woods throughout and a layout that allowed the house to be integrated seamlessly with the surrounding land. Complete with a custom space for the homeowner’s art collection, a yoga studio, and yard space with infinity edge pool and outdoor kitchen, this property impressed everyone on the tour and was an excellent way to conclude the day.
