Over the past two years, KDHamptons has helped aid in the adoption of many dutiful dogs and compassionate cats at the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF). We love receiving fabulous emails from the shelter informing us that KDHamptons readers have been coming to the rescue of these adorable animals in need of a Hamptons home!

This week, I’d like to introduce you to Takoda [above], who loves to soak up the sunshine! This 5 year old smilin’ guy is full of light and a zest for life. Takoda has a playful, puppyish way about him, supper smart, definitely the perfect companion for people, and should probably be the only dog at home.

Sweet little Wilson and Dudley are rescued puppy mill dogs. Wilson [above, left] is about 2 years old, and Dudley is 2. Sadly, they spent the first years of their lives in a cage. Now that these special guys can feel the grass beneath their paws instead of painful wire cage bottoms, we are looking for adopters with that special TLC to show them what a real loving home is like.

Wherefore art thou, Romeo? Romeo is a 2 year old shy male cat who is looking for his one true love…..a new home! June is Cat Adoption Month and the Southampton Animal Shelter is offering 9 lives for $9.00. Cats over 9 months old are $9, and cats over 9 years old are free!

We hope you might consider adopting these loving animals~ what better gift is there than to save a life? The Southampton Animal Shelter has been working nonstop to show these animals a lot of love~ bathing them, holding them, and spreading the word to help find them a home. [pssst!
