The Hampton Ballet Theatre School to Present 8th Annual Production of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker
The Hampton Ballet Theatre School (HBTS), is excited to present their eighth annual production of Tchaikovsky’s beloved Nutcracker on Friday, December 9 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, December 10 at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 pm and Sunday, December 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Guild Hall’s beautiful John Drew Theater, 158 Main Street, East Hampton. Advanced ticket sales are $20 for children (under 12 years of age) and $25 for adults for general orchestra seating. Day of performance tickets sales are $25 for children (under 12 years of age) and $30 for adults for regular orchestra seating. Premium orchestra, box seats, balcony and group rates are also available.
The ballet is choreographed by the director of HBTS, Sara Jo Strickland, and includes beautiful costumes designed and hand sewn by Yuka Silvera and lighting design by Sebastian Paczynski. Resident guest artists Adam and Gail Baranello of A&G Dance Company will be dancing the Arabian Prince and Princess. Sharing the roles of Dew Drop Princess and Snow Queen will be Abigail Hubbell and Caitlin Hubbell, both Pro Student Level 6 at HBTS and dancing the role of Sugar Plum Fairy will be Rose Kelly, also Pro Student Level 6 at HBTS. The role of Cavalier will be danced by Nick Peregrino. Timothy Sloan will be dancing the role of Snow King.
Hampton Ballet Theatre School’s Nutcracker will enchant those of all ages, as the students of HBTS transport the audience to a land where angels, snowflakes and flowers dance and Clara saves the Nutcracker Prince from the evil Mouse King.
