KDHamptons Readers: again, we ask you to join us as we continue our relationship with the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) in posting features dedicated to showcasing compassionate cats and devoted dogs that are available for adoption on the East End.

The SASF is an organization in the Hamptons devoted to the welfare of animals and to reduce the number of homeless pets. Come on Hamptonites, lend a helping hand in finding homes for needy pets this New Year.

Orleans is an adorable 7-year old kitty. Her original owner moved away and unfortunately couldn’t take her with them. She has been living at SASF for quite some time and really wants a home and family of her own. So much so, that Orleans has been included in the 12 Days of Catmus promotion, which waives her adoption fee!

Frances is a 5-year old petite Pit Bull/Sharpei mix. She was transferred to SASF from a Shelter in North Carolina because the staff there refused to have her put down. She is a good ole southern sweetheart who enjoys being the center of attention and would like to be the only pet in your household. Frances is a SASF staff favorite and we can see why the shelter in North Carolina wanted to save her!
