Whoever says there isn’t anything cool & new to do during the Hamptons winter season is about to eat their words in the form of…..AN IGLOO! An oceanfront array of multisensory themed igloos have magically landed at Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa.  Each uniquely themed igloo showcases a multi-sensory experience reflected through design, activities, music and signature drinks.

For example, the Fortune Teller igloo comes complete with tarot cards, a “crystal ball” for “The Gram” moment, and specialty cocktail called The Oracle featuring pea tendril gin, lavender and bubble smoke.  Potterheads can tuck into the Harry Potter igloo which offers potions in glass bottles, wizard wands and the movie soundtrack cranking.

The Fortune Teller Igloo

The igloos will be available seven days a week until March 1st, but you need to make a reservation to hang out in one on the weekends. Great for a group of friends, or for a surprise romantic date night, the igloos also come with a bell to alert servers to bring comfort food and artisanal cocktails from the resort’s restaurant, Tillie’s.

Each igloo is completely clear so you can catch the waves crashing during the day and stargaze at night cozied up under a blanket or by the kitschy fire heaters provided. Make it a party – up to eight of your boos can fit in the gloo at a time for a two hour reservation. The cost is $25 per person. All proceeds at Gurney’s Montauk will go to Make-a-Wish Foundation which should make everyone feel warm and fuzzy.
