KDH Beauty Find: Restorsea Products Improve Radiance, Elasticity & Smoothness with Enzymes from Norwegian Salmon!
Restørsea: “The future of skincare harnessing the vibrancy and restoring power of sea life.”
Envision the most picturesque Scandinavian setting of rolling green mountains, awe inspiring cliffs, a serene lake and Norway’s largest salmon hatchery. This is the inspiration for Restørsea™, the first and only efficacious skincare line to utilize a natural enzyme released by Norwegian baby salmon during the hatching process.
This innovative new product collection is composed of naturally derived ingredients, relying on a proprietary and patent pending Vibransea™ Complex to provide intense hydration and significant improvement in radiance, elasticity and smoothness.
Wonder how could a visit to the Norwegian countryside lead to this highly anticipated skincare launch? Well, in 2010, Patricia Pao, a beauty industry veteran, skipped a 13.5 mile hike for a tour of Norway’s largest salmon hatchery, and it was not the fish that caught her attention. She was immediately drawn to the workers and the fact that their hands looked significantly younger than their faces! A beauty guru and ingredient expert, Patti became transfixed by the phenomenon and set out to discover this anti-aging secret. Her quest led her to the enzyme derived from Norwegian baby salmon hatching fluid, which kept workers’ hands, submerged in the water everyday, hydrated and younger looking.
Widely recognized for her leadership in developing skincare breakthroughs, including introducing glycolic acid to the market in Avon’s Anew line, Patti immediately saw a way to fulfill an unmet consumer need for an effective, naturally derived skincare line. After months of research, Patti worked with a marine bio-tech company in Oslo, Norway that had developed and patented the enzyme. She quickly secured the rights to use the enzyme in the powerful complex at the core of Restørsea.
Restørsea harnesses the power of Vibransea to provide intense hydration and significant improvement in skin’s elasticity, radiance and smoothness. The proprietary complex is anchored by the enzyme, which boasts the same exfoliating properties of glycolic acid without its side effects and provides increased hydration and strengthened skin through accelerated cellular activity.
The benefits of the enzyme are enhanced by the addition of Vitamin C and Brown Algae. Vitamin C brightens the skin, reduces the appearance of age spots and accelerates the skincare results; Brown Algae increases moisturization and elasticity and reduces inflammation. Naturally derived and free from chemical peptides and harmful ingredients, fulfilling “an unmet consumer need for safe, anti-aging products that deliver real results.”
Restørsea will launch at Bergdorf Goodman in October 2012 and Restorsea.com in November 2012 with a luxurious day cream [$150] and eye cream [$85]. The packaging captures the essence of sea glass in a beautiful blue-green shade.
