Local East End wines and craft beer served up alongside gourmet food trucks from the region made for a festive Fall vibe at the Septemberfest Kickoff Party on Friday, September 28th. Hamptonites got down with independent mashup band, “New Life Crisis,” with Paul Mahos and his bandmates rocking a potent mix of original tracks as well as cover favorites from U2, George Michael, NIN, Elton John, Elvis and current pop songs. Activities included: The Maniac Pumpkin Carvers providing unique and stunning carved pumpkins. A concert by Rhett Miller & The Serial Lady Killers. Rhett Miller is the front man and main songwriter of the hard-charging rock ‘n’ roll quartet the Old 97’s, as well as an accomplished solo artist, and Goldspot played songs from their new album “And the Elephant is Dancing”, produced by Beach Boys engineer Jeff Peters and Siddhartha.
