KDHamptons Exclusive: Tom Ford Beauty's 2013 Hamptons Face! Five Fabulous Products You Need This Summer!
All of my glam girlfriends are completely obsessed with Tom Ford Beauty. Since the line launched at Bergdorf Goodman last year, I zip into the city each season for an appointment with Keke Cargill Cifferello [resident makeup artist for Tom Ford Beauty], to experience all of the new products & colors. When I lived in Manhattan full-time it was fun to wear a dramatic smokey eye for day, or a bright lip, but those bold looks don’t fly out on the East End! The Hamptons look is decidedly more natural, soft and pretty. Below, Keke distills Tom’s philosophy behind the Tom Ford Summer collection [see above], and chooses 5 perfect products tailored for the natural Hamptons look:
Keke shares, “Being an artist I am naturally drawn to how women wear makeup and why? I find that the majority of the women that wear a certain look of makeup in Manhattan, would appear overdone in the Hamptons. The Tom Ford Summer makeup is the definition of what a gorgeous Hamptonite looks like. She is effortlessly “done”, yet you can tell she takes care of her skin because its smoothly bronzed. Little touches like the translucent eyeshadows in pale golden sorbet and pinky gold add a little more glamour to her already fabulous lifestyle.”
What should we NOT be doing for makeup this summer that was a trend last year?
Keke says, “The Tom Ford look is warm and bronzed, yet not over done. If I could describe the face I would say she is an ethereal sun goddess. So it’s just the mood of heat and cool it adds to the face. We are not using a lot of berry and wine colors, which was a trend last summer. Lipstick should be vibrant: pinky corals, warm orange reds, and buttery sorbet colors. While the skin is bronzed and illuminated with soft radiance. Below, are my Fab Five products for a Tom Ford Hamptons Face.”
1. Blush sticks in bronzed amber and pink guilt; $58 each [below]
2. The first shipment of illuminating primer sold out in one day! It’s looks radiant on the face it’s a rosy gold; $65 [above]
3. The pink lust lip lacquer; $30 [below]
4. The nail polish is iced white called vapor; $30 [below]
5. The eyeshadow creams pink haze and escapades; $40 each [below]
What’s Keke’s favorite fragrance for summer on the East End? “The fragrance I love for summer in the Hamptons is White Suede [below], especially in hot weather. It’s soft and cool yet on a hot summer night the cooling of the breeze adds a certain intoxicating musky that’s so alluring and you can help but to wrap yourself around it.”
