KDHamptons Feast End: Grandma's Secret Recipes Served Up at La Fine In Montauk
Tucked inside the historical Montauk Manor, newcomer La Fine is a family-style, Italian influenced restaurant that brings homemade traditional Northern and Southern Italian cuisine to the East End. With a nod to Montauk’s nickname, La Fine means “The End” in Italian, and features a newly renovated space with exposed brick, reclaimed woods, a bold red palette, and great garage doors that open up to a fantastic outdoor dining space overlooking the gardens. The restaurant opened in late June, and is family owned and operated by the MME Group, a full service Event Management and Hospitality agency located in Manhattan with satellite offices in Long Island, Miami and Los Angeles.
The inspired menu is comprised of classic Italian recipes straight from “Grandma’s” cookbook. “The family cookbook has been passed on through three generations, bursting with culinary secrets and authentic recipes that you will only find at La Fine,” shares Director of Food and Beverage, PJ Bruno. “Our culinary team utilizes Montauk’s vast array of local farms and its intimate fishing community, providing diners with only the freshest ingredients for our seasonal menu.” Grandma’s Meatballs [pictured below] is a signature dish of La Fine that keeps guests coming back, as well as the seafood risotto with fresh clams, mussels, and shrimp.
La Fine offers both indoor and scenic outdoor dining space, so you won’t miss those perfect Montauk sunsets overlooking the shoreline. The charming outdoor space is romantically lit with chandeliers in birdcages, and boasts incredible views of the rolling hills and the water and open access to the grounds and gardens of the Montauk Manor. La Fine’s master mixologist, Matt, curates a fantastic mix of cocktails that are perfect for sunset sipping.
Location: Montauk Manor, 236 Edgemere Street, Montauk, NY 11954, 631.668.4400; La Fine will be open Thursday-Sunday during the off season.
