Equally loved and collected by the art world, celebrities and tastemakers, Paton Miller’s work has a unique quality that the Parrish Art Museum describes as “seductive, complex surfaces full of scratches, abrasions, visible underdrawing and outlining. Sometimes straightforward, more often mysterious and somewhat elusive, his imagery has a rustic quality reminiscent of the Mexican muralists and Gauguin, and a sense of his subjects’ innocence and physicality.”

Head over to 4 North Main Gallery in Southampton to check out Paton’s winter exhibition. Miller shares with KDH, “This show will be number seven in the series dating back three years. I’ve been able to show old/new works on a variety of mediums, including canvas, paper, and ceramics. The usual model is for artists to have solo shows once a year or even less. The 4 North Main gallery has allowed me to exhibit in depth, and the results have been excellent.”
