Scoop: Opened by brothers Sami Krasniqi and Noti Krasniqi, both veterans of the hospitality industry, and investor and partner Rich Silver and in May 2012, Andrra now occupies the former location of The Boathouse in East Hampton. The trio is bringing a Mediterranean seafood and chops concept to the recently renovated harbor-side location.
The chic contemporary restaurant boasts sunset views of Three Mile Harbor from both the main dining room and lounge area. The bar is set further back and houses a gas fireplace with concrete surround and a large concrete bar. High gloss white ceilings and navy blue walls compliment Ipe wood floors, which run throughout the modern interior.
Consulting Chef William Valentine has co-created a Mediterranean menu with Executive Chef Sami Krasniqi featuring delicacies from both land and sea.

Scoop: The Anchor will be the latest venture by The Beacon co-owners restaurateur David Loewenberg and executive chef Sam McCleland. David has taken over the old Oasis restaurant on Noyac Road for his latest venture will be inspired by the maritime history of Sag Harbor and its waterfront view of Mill Creek Marina, the new year-round seafood restaurant with a New American spirit.
Topping the surf-centric menu of lobster- whole and in rolls, shellfish plateaus and fishes of the day will be turf favorites including steaks and chops in the signature style of Loewenberg and McCleland.
Decorated by Sarah Loewenberg, the airy dining room will be elegantly dressed in shades of white with sea-green-blue color wave accents, plank flooring, wooden tables large enough for hearty-style lobster eating and seating both banquette and café style. Sounds chic yet cozy. Anchors away!

Scoop: The Beer Garden: An American interpretation of a traditional beer garden, this expansive outdoor patio features a central freestanding bar surrounded with high tops, communal tables and banquette seating, all bearing the club’s signature colors of royal blue and forest green. An overarching handcrafted pergola expands over half of the garden’s patio, and a custom fire pit adds to the rustic appeal of alfresco entertainment as the sun sets. The Beer Garden will offer a large selection of domestic and imported beers both on tap and by the bottle, curated by a certified Cicerone. A full bar and international wine list, with a focus on local selections, is also served along with a small-plates menu featuring light and refined interpretations of classic bar bites.
The Restaurant: Indoors, the full service restaurant features an open and airy floor plan, with bi-level dining areas and a quaint outdoor patio. Surrounded by French-sliding doors and embellished with polo and equestrian inspired details, the restaurant features original hardwood furniture manufactured by Amish craftsmen and imported from Pennsylvania. Decorative pieces, such as collectable riding gear, and original artwork including large action photographs, pay homage to the venue’s theme. With a menu featuring modern American cuisine highlighting fresh local seafood and organic ingredients whenever possible, the restaurant will offer fresh salads, seafood preparations, pastas and more.
The VIP Lounge: As day turns into night, attention will be turned to the VIP Lounge, which maintains the club’s equestrian air with a slightly sexier underlying appeal. Banquette-style seating encourages guests to lounge comfortably, andadjustable tables allow the room to adapt easily to different events. The VIP Lounge will also be utilized as a private dining and event space.

Scoop: Chef-owner Matthew Guiffrida is set to launch the new Muse in the Harbor this March, in time for the 2012 Hamptons season. Guiffrida, a noted chef with three featured appearances at the James Beard House, made his first splash as an owner on the South Fork scene in 2007 with Muse Restaurant & Aquatic Lounge, a Water Mill dining staple. He garnered rave reviews with “very good” ratings from Joanne Starkey of The New York Times who said, “it’s worth the hunt,” and Peter Gianotti of Newsday who declared, “it’s one of the best new restaurants in the Hamptons. life.

The Skinny: The Mediterranean menu incorporates traditional Greek fare with a contemporary twist making wide use of olive oil, vegetables, herbs, with wine, fish, and various meats including lamb and veal. We sampled various delicious Mezes [a collective name for a variety of small dishes], my favorite being the grilled octopus salad.
Traditional Greek desserts topped off a delicious dinner. The inspired menu will definitely set Nammos’ cultural cuisine apart from the other Southampton restaurants, and is a great addition to the lineup!

Scoop: Another Manhattan transplant to the East End dining scene this season is the beer garden known as Zum Schneider. They’re serving up traditional german food and Bavarian beer. Early word is that the vibe, food and beer are all great, but the lack of outdoor seating might be an issue for those wanting to soak in as much of the summer as possible.
