Embraced in ethereal magic, the blossom-laden grounds of LongHouse Reserve set the perfect backdrop for a midsummer night’s dream on Saturday, July 18th where artist Kiki Smith’s serene bronze assemblage, Women and Sheep graced the grounds for an evening of music, dance, sumptuous sustenance, and shimmering guests in diaphanous array at the On Gossamer Wings event.
As a highlight of the evening, LongHouse presented artist and sculptor, Kiki Smith, the 2015 LongHouse Award. Smith, an artist of international recognition, is the recipient of countless accolades. Further, she has been featured in over 25 one-person international museum exhibitions and her work has been included in two Whitney Biennials. LongHouse founder Jack Larsen, the Board of Trustees, and Honorary Chair, Julianne Moore welcomed visitors to fly away with them for a beautiful evening in the gardens.
