NEW KDHamptons Party Pix: Diamond In The Rough Gala Funds Final Restoration of the Historic Montauk Playhouse
On August 3rd, a sold-out crowd of over 400 guests gathered for Montauk’s party of the year, the “Diamond in the Rough Gala.” This fun and unforgettable event was essential to the future of the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation. All proceeds help to construct an Aquatic Center and community spaces in the unfinished half of the historic Montauk Playhouse. The evening’s honorees were Drew Doscher, Andy Harris and Sally Richardson, and Dennis and Rosanna Sisco, who were celebrated for their philanthropic commitment to the Montauk community.
“The Montauk Playhouse is a beautiful asset to the town, visually, physically and spiritually.” – George W.
The night featured dinner, dancing, drinks, and spectacular stilt-walkers! Guests enjoyed delicious fare from RCano Events, wine and spirits from Stonecrop Wines, Peroni, and Montauk Brewing Company. A live auction featured incredible prizes such as an African safari and a fishing trip on Billy Joel’s boat. An entertaining bidding war erupted to win an organization session with Aida Turturro. Guests danced the night away to live music by Celtic Cross.
