KDHamptons Contributing Lifestyle Writer, Lauren Thayer, is a Hamptons native who had the pleasure of growing up on the beaches of Sagaponack. In 2010, she traded in her NYC life to live full-time in the Hamptons once again. Her husband, Dr. Elliot Weiss [a Dermatologist], opened the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of NY Southampton in 2010. The couple enjoys the unique beauty of the Hamptons with their 1-year old daughter. Their perfect Hamptons day is one spent at Gibson Beach and Wolffer Vineyard.

Lauren is also VP at Lisa Lori Communications~ a full-service, award-winning marketing communications agency specializing in publicity, special events, branding and integrated marketing programs. With over ten years of experience in the field, Lauren specializes in working with clients and brands in the arts, non-profit, fashion and lifestyle sectors including: School of the American Ballet, Princess Grace Foundation-USA, LongHouse Reserve, NYC Opera and Alzheimer’s Association/Rita Hayworth Galas. Lauren has spearheaded numerous special projects that have included: Beverly Hills Walk of Style Honoring Grace Kelly, Watermill Center Benefit/IFF Fragrance collaboration, Saks Fifth Avenue & Saks.com Holiday Campaigns and Window Unveiling and Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Awareness Campaigns. Prior to joining Lisa Lori Communications Lauren worked in Development and Special Events for the American Museum of Natural History.
