LULU KITCHEN & BAR OPENS IN SAG HARBOR
Apollo Global Management co-founder, Marc Rowan, has opened the newest addition to its restaurant group, Lulu Kitchen & Bar in Sag Harbor. MAH has a small collection of restaurants in Montauk including Duryea’s Lobster Deck and Arbor. Taking the place of the former Doppio Artisan Bistro on Main Street, Lulu Kitchen & Bar will be a year-round convivial bistro featuring wood burning cuisine. The menu and open kitchen will be centered around a wood burning grill and oven. The rear of the space will offer table clothed dining with rustic chandeliers, exposed brick walls, vintage European mirrors, and leather chairs. A back deck will feature outdoor dining under an awning with chic but casual patio seating and potted plants for ambiance.
The kitchen will be under the direction of Phillippe Corbet, a French-trained chef with several years of experience in Michelin-star rated restaurants as well as top tables throughout Long Island. Offering lunch, dinner and a late night menu, Lulu Kitchen & Bar will offer a menu focused on local products. Seafood platters including Montauk Pearl oysters, Bonac razor clams and tuna tartrate will be available throughout the day, and house meatballs with wood fired roasted tomato sauce and goat cheese risotto round out a bountiful start to the menu. Wood fired pizzas will be a popular item with creations such as the Market pizza with prosciutto, onions, raclette cheese and tomatoes.
Lulu Kitchen & Bar will be open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner and brunch on Sundays. A special late night menu will be offered every night from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Lulu Kitchen & Bar plans to open late March, early April.
