KDHamptons lifestyle & entertaining contributor, Kim Hopkins, shares party decor pix from the spooky and stylish Hamptons birthday bash she whipped up for her seven-year-old son Brady in Sag Harbor. Kim shares, “After living in Abu Dhabi for nine years, this was the first time Brady celebrated Halloween in the U.S.,” shares Kim. “So it was only natural to have an All Hallows Eve theme, including lots of ghouls, goblins, witches, and autumnal tabletop décor to set the stage.”
“Whenever I’m planning a small dinner or big party, I start preparing weeks ahead, setting the theme, creating the invitations (I love Paperless Post), and gathering decorative items to set the stage,” says Kim. “The details are what make an event so memorable.”
Coco, a real sweetie
This year was a bit of a challenge because of the quick change in weather. We woke to gale force winds and a torrential downpour, which made it very spooky in more ways than one! Luckily I had ordered a big tent the day before, so I was able to put up the lights and decorations ahead of time. When in doubt, tent it!!
