Montauk resident Lynn Blumenfeld is the co-Founder of blumenfeld+fleming, an advertising/marketing/web + graphic design firm with worldwide headquarters in Montauk.

Lynn shares, “Summer is when we open our home to friends near and far and take time to really enjoy the people we love…In our humble home in Montauk that means LOTS of kids! We are blessed to live in Montauk across the street from the great Fort Pond Bay, also known as “sunset central”.  It’s such a joy to share the beautiful beaches, ponds, lakes and our amazing sunsets with “city folks,” and to spend quality time…..not as many people want to visit in February!”

“Below are many of our summer guests – a veritable United Nations of visitors who now love Montauk – almost as much as we do, including: Taylor, my neighbor who turned 3. Charlotte, my niece and her bff Erin from Massachusetts. (They say the waves here are better than the Cape!). Zenebe who lives in Brooklyn, and Simaton who moved to NYC from Kenya two years ago…”

“One of my favorite nights was when Simon [my husband] and I celebrated his birthday at Gosman’s Topside [above] – it was a glorious night.  Montauk was CROWDED – we enjoyed the asparagus fries at swallow east, Nancy Atlas at Surf Lodge [below] and almost everything on the menu at The Coast.”

Lynn adds, “Fashion Shows at Gurney’s were great. Summer Stock was full of great dresses and Kai Lani had the most gorgeous pearl necklaces (I want one!). Milk had dangerous cookies which my niece and her bff devoured but none of the shops or restaurants could compete with the raw beauty and nature here…..”

“I did a lot of stand up paddling and yoga at Montauk’s new YOGA LILA… Dominique the owner [above] also taught paddle board yoga. Simaton, my friend from Kenya learned to SUP (thanks to Bill Garry who teaches windsurfing!),” shares Lynn.
