KDHamptons Feast End: Madeline Picnic Co. Brings Farm-to-Fork Picnics to the Hamptons
Madeline Picnic Co. is headed into its sophomore season providing farm-to-fork picnics to the Hamptons foodie crowd. Founded in 2013 and operated by East Hamptonite Madeline McLean [below], a lover of food, cooking, and community, Madeline Picnic Co. sources ingredients from local farms, independent purveyors and top-quality artisans. Each picnic includes fresh, globally-inspired salads, gourmet sandwiches and signature Madeleine cakes. Additional options include child-friendly options and homemade beverages. Madeline Picnic Co. is committed to a hyper-local focus, always delivering the highest quality of ingredients possible sourced from the East End.
“Madeline Picnic Co.’s mission came from an admiration for the natural resources we have access to on the East End,” says founder Madeline McLean. “The product celebrates the land and the sea and the people who work to cultivate it. Also, MPCo always strives to facilitate—and encourage—a mobile and healthy lifestyle by offering to-go meals of unparalleled quality to its customers”.
Madeline Picnic Co. operates as a mobile business by means of an ordering system via Madeline Picnic Co.’s website. Picnics are prepared fresh daily in eco-friendly packaging and are delivered to pre-determined pick-up locations along the South Fork.
